Eve: I thought I was through getting involved with men who were trouble. Falling in love on a look. I can't look at you.

Mickey: You have perfection about you. Your eyes have music. Your heart's the best part of your body. And when you move, every man, woman and child is forced to watch.

I was half way through a reviewing of the Artist's Den when I decided to look them up.

My local PBS channel is pretty poor, but they do manage to air Live at the Artist's Den at 3 AM or something. I've been watching it from the beginning (with a good antenna I got it from a neighboring state the first season) and always find one or two bands that make it worth it. I haven't kept up with current music for years, so a show like AD is good for me, even if they're a lot more commercial now than they were in the beginning. The National has been around since the '90s it seems, but I never heard of them - see what I mean? smile.gif Any band with Hunter Thompson on bass, John Lennon on drums and identical twins on guitar has to have something going for it.

I couldn't find this anywhere so I made this and uploaded it to the toobe. I was going to zip it as an attachment but was worried about the man harshing my gig.

Monday Morning Blues, by Peter case and Dave Alvin, A tribute to "Mississippi" John Hurt. I listen to this about every Monday.

I find that I need to listen or watch something from Joe on a regular basis or i get ansty. I also am scheduled to see him live for the fourth time this November, great seats already in hand:-)

Lately I've been hitting the sleep timer on my bedroom AVR and putting on a recording of a distant thunderstorm with heavy rain as I go to bed. It's perfect.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Johnny, Kick A Hole In The Sky

I hate to sound old, but this is from the last album of my beloved Peppers. Ive seen these guys more than any other band and still listen to their first albums regularly, especially this one.
Ive never experienced such a 180 degree like/dislike before or since. Luckily, this stuff keeps giving.

One of my faves. I usually find something good in all their records but found the Stadium Arcadium stuff a bit tedious. Still liked tracks off it though.

Ok now you've gone and done it. I have a chorus in my head but no other lyrics. STAY WITH ME sung by a lady with some slightly techno motifs in it. Speaking of gone and done it I give to you Nappy Roots.

(at least stick it out until :58 when Beth's vocals come storming in; it's worth it)
