That's a good list. Here's mine:

1. Anything by Mark Knopfler or Dire Straits (Knopfler is one of the most underrated musicians and storytellers of all time...IMO)
2. Anything by Pink Floyd (Waters + Gilmour = another world)
3. Anything by Led Zepplin (their picture should be in the dictionary with the definition of rock-n-roll)
4. Anything by Diamond Rio (great country/bluegrass harmony)

The top 4 bands on my list are in a different class than everyone else for me. Every song in my top 10 would come from those bands. I like their lesser songs better than most anyone else's best. Here are some of my non-Knopfler, Floyd, Zep favorites:

5. Walking In Memphis - Marc Cohn
6. Barton Hollow - The Civil Wars
7. It's Probably Me - Sting
8. Seven Bridges Road - The Eagles
9. Wheels - Foo Fighters
10. Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

There's nothing to see here.

Clapton does a phenominal job with the emotional tone in River of Tears. I've never tried to find out about the backstory of that song, but he sings it as if it's his own true life experience. I just had to spin that one again.

I don't know some of the songs on your list Distorted. I'm going to have to look them up.

There's nothing to see here.
