Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
An interesting film from POV of how the Directors wanted to show 2 sides of the story.
The one reported in the media at the time and the one I Was A Victim from Lovelace's book.
In spite of her reportedly passing a polygraph (notoriously unreliable back then), I have to take some of her account with a grain of salt.

Having seen this at the theater upon its release, it would be hard to sit through it a second time. It lacks pacing and is the point of view of her children who were writers and producers of this film.

Yeah, I noticed that.

Like I said, it's hard to put much faith in her "story," as it was an attempt @ repair her image.
Although by all accounts, Traynor was a first-class a$$hole.
He went on to marry Marilyn Chambers.eek.gif

Ummm, not to put too fine a point on it, but to reiterate my question from 4 months ago posed on the previous page in post 9, for those who have now seen this film..... does she or doesn't she? Inquiring Netflix queues want to know.

I don't mean body-doubles or sideways-under-bad-lighting brief glimpses, either. Let's face it - she does have one of the great bods in Hollywood, actually. She's a goddess. Hey, I don't make the rules.

Does citing that as a reason, perhaps the only reason, for wanting to watch a movie about the actress that starred in Deep Throat make me..... shallow?

That is an interesting question.
We do see her with her shirt off....however, there is a problem.
I am not sure what we see is REALLY her.
Lemme explain...

Having seen Ms. Seyfried with her clothes ON before, she appears to be fairly flat-breasted.
Oddly, when we see her in the movie, she appears to much larger than imagined.
I found this to be very weird and made a mental note of it.
Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of visual trickery involving computers or prosthesis or something else (and no, not implants).

Well...I have seen her with her clothes OFF before, and I can assure you she's not flast-breasted, at all. smile.gif

Check her filmo and look for the right titles… It is REALLY her in Lovelace. Amanda is an amazing beauty from head to toe and everything in between.

No, she has one of the best bods in the biz. Always appeared to have quite a nice "superstructure". Hence my.... curiosity. wink.gif

OK, if you insist....

FWIW, she wouldn't make my top 100.
She impresses me more with her clothes ON than OFF.

This may be redundant, but Oink, you're weird. biggrin.gif

I had forgot about this movie until I saw the poster in the window of a video store I was walking past. My rule of thumb is that if there's never a face to go with the boobs, it's not a given (they're hers). Heck, actresses use leg and butt doubles.

They do yes, and some of them don't, like Amanda smile.gif (if this case needs more evidence: watch Chloe wink.gif)

here's an article where she talks about the film and particularly "those scenes"

Wow going by the last pic in that article, she can go completely incognito.

I knew she did in other movies - it may have been Chloe that I saw.

I think her face is let down by her body.
Ordinary, nothing spectacular.....not as perky as I imagined.

What a bunch of dirty old men! biggrin.gif

Pondering a ticket? "Lovelace" arrives tomorrow at Redbox though only on DVD.

BTW, Lovelace was interviewed on a weekly local TV show in the early 1970s. I played in the jazz trio for that show but the host had prerecorded the interview.

I saw it and I liked it a lot. I questioned the veracity of the story, but the movie itself was not a bad movie. It felt good to watch a new movie that felt like an older movie.

I LOVE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked it also, I'm drawn to movies set in the 70's era, also the guy who played Chuck always reminds me of Keiffer Sutherland.
