I weep for humanity. No wonder all those rich dudes moved to Elysium.

What if it's not? What if the sky fell? Would Chicken Little be right? What if his name was Chicken Big? Would the sky fall then? Crazy world, no?

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

Having an extra cup or two of eggnog at Christmas time is a Good Thing! smile.gif Despite how much fun we have been having at the expense of Europa Report, a little research has convinced me that it is better than awful. IMDb voters have given it an average score of 6.5 out 10. That's hardly in a league with The Godfather but it's not chopped liver either. Also. Sharlto Copley, Michael Nyqvist, and Embeth Davidtz are all in its cast. That's three pretty good actors. That said, I'm still not going to see it until and unless it shows up on a cable movie channel.

Elysium got 6.8 and Jack Reacher got 6.9 so it may be safe to place Europa Report on your "watch list". smile.gif

Really just proof that "real" "hard" scifi is pretty boring when it's done and all the "fantasy" that gets complained on so much is actually ok.. I'll take three boobs, please.

I think there's room for all of it and hate that it absolutely has to fit in a box or it's garbage.

+1000000

I love 2001...one of my favorite movies of all time.
IMO, one of cinematic art's greatest achievements.

I also love SW, ST, and other stuff along the same lines.

It's an addiction. It can be cured though. One just has to endure the withdrawal symptoms for a while. smile.gif

Keep hoping that I will see it after all, boys, because I have been known to change my mind. In the case of Europa Report, however, I wouldn't hold my breath. smile.gif
