I just got back from seeing it this afternoon. Is it me or maybe Hollywood is starting to understand that people are getting tired of these CGI sh!thol...sorry, tentpoles? Once again, 2 Guns is a movie made the old-fashioned way, with pratictal stunts, a "buddy cop" story with a twist, 2 great lead actors (Wahlberg and Washington have great chemistry and more than a few funny lines). The theater was packed, a good sign I guess, people laughed a lot and just had a great time. This one is gonna be a great addition to my Blu-ray collection this fall... The film ended up better than I expected. Apparently Universal didn't get much in the way of its icelandic director during production, which is for the better I'm sure. This is the number one movie this weekend, I hope it has a successful run in theaters.

When D flips the explosive device over his shoulder on the TV trailer, it looks so fake; looks like they tightened that up.

BTW, I haven't seen this yet I know that Paula Patton carries on the "tradition" by following in the footsteps of Eva Mendez and Nadine Velasquez..

Paula Patton. Paula Patton. Paula Patton. Watch this for no other reason than Paula Patton. She’s been on my radar for years, but there is a scene where she oozes so much sexuality that it moves her near the top of my sexiest women actors of all-time. Then you have the bedroom scenes with Denzel. What a beauty. What a beauty!

As outlandish as the plot was, I enjoyed it because of the actors: Washington, Paxton, Patton, and Wahlberg. Excellent chemistry between Wahlberg and Washington. The calmness between the two when the shin was hitting the fan, which happens a lot, is unrealistic, but you just have to take the movie for what it is, entertainment, and nothing more. Lots of good laughs. Worth the rent and worth watching again simply to treasure Paula, and pause, pause, pause. biggrin.gif

Good rental, but unsure if I'll buy. And while Ms. Patton is beautiful, she's not "buxom" at all...she really could've kept her shirt on.

Really? She/they looked darn nice to me. She isn’t a Scarlett or Dolly, I’ll give you that, but I’m an L&A guy, so she looked plenty fine to me.

This was an unknown group to me, but this song got my attention. I really liked it.

Searching them out, I found this one with the sweet Nora Jones.

Now that's the kind of pertinent information that makes AVS such an invaluable resource. Now I know I can wait for this one until it makes its way to premium cable. Thanks Rez! biggrin.gif

WOW....what absolute crap this movie is.

Neither Washington nor Wahlberg are seriously trying here.rolleyes.gif
And it doesn't help that the writing is insipid and nauseating.

In the first 30 minutes, I experienced for 4 major eye-rolling moments....meaning it automatically becomes Oinked.

This flic is insultingly stupid.....you have been warned.

Wow, I've never seen you this outraged with a movie. Yeah I mean I could see how some wouldn't like this but it wasn't that bad. It was def worth a rental and I thought Walberg was actually pretty fun at times esp that part with the chickens being shot at. It's a light family buddy cop action-comedy.

I enjoyed this a whole heck more than Denzel's dumb train & subway movie, and I won't even tough that one where he plays that drunken pilot. And comparing this with the other new releases out right now, this was still a lot better than Kick Ass 2 or the Lone Ranger. Have you seen Prisoners yet..that was pretty good.

Prisoners will be hard to beat with Marky Mark stuff. Not saying he couldn't but Jake and Hugh were really awesome.

Watched this tonight. It was ok. Nothing I need to own, but not as bad as the Oinkmeister will have you believe. Bill Paxton cracks me up. Makes me want to watch Aliens again.
