I can only lead the horses to water, what they do with it once they get there is out of my hands. But based on the extreme reactions this is a movie you're going to either dig the heck out of it like I did or just don't care for it like Mr Oink.

But based on your track record I would say you're going to dig it this one. I mean you don't have at least 35 min out of the day to risk an amazing original horror film?
It's at the head of my queue. I just need to remember to take the two discs I've had since June 19th (LOL!) and walk down the drive way and put them in the mailbox.

You are in good company! tongue.gif My que has moved SO slow at times lately and I will catch myself having discs here for weeks at a time. It should pick up now that the summer movies are hitting I hope.

It's not so much sad as simply wasteful. But sometimes I get sad when I think how wasteful it is to send Netflix nearly $20/month for how little I use the service (one disk out at a time + streaming). I'm more of a TV guy. But the wife streams stuff from time to time and I like BD's from an image quality standpoint. And when I build the theater I'm going to have to have the BD rental option, for as long as they offer it. So I'm kind of stuck, a "dream customer" from their point of view. frown.gif

I know! It's terrible! If I could just break my Conan Obrien addiction at night, I would have more time for Netflix. smile.gif

Every time I think about going to just streaming I just can't do it. smile.gif Although, I do stream quite a bit from NF and don't begrudge them the 20 bucks or so a month I give them.

Anyway, I watched this movie last night. Except for some decent gore, I thought it was meh. Also, I found it amusing that anybody who fought hand-to-hand was trained in martial arts. smile.gif

Boy, don't waste your time with this stinker. If the Razzies have a category for ensemble acting, No One Lives represents an early frontrunner for 2013. There is no flair, no suspense, not one frame composed with more in mind than getting a Beavis-type to chortle, “Cool.” There’s nothing to do but wait for the next slasher cliché. I mean, really, when a slasher pic can't exploit a woodchipper for more sadistic thrills than we get here it's time to move on to the next film in your que, though there’s a certain pleasure to be had in such unabashed cinematic ineptitude.

Funny the diverse reactions to this. I found the first half very good and a different spin on the genre. Luke Evans was entertaining and I was interested in him and the main girl, with everone else fodder. biggrin.gif

Second half comes crashing down to normal meh, but for an out of nowhere flic, I enjoyed the rental.

The last half was VERY meh and that's a serious problem for a movie to have.

Seems like most genre movies have this problem. I often find myself interested in the setup and then, typically, the writing gets sloppy and the actions don't make sense or too hard to believe/far fetched.
