...but not a complete carbon copy, like this one is, which is why I will always speak out against unnecessary movies like this, no matter how many people criticize me for doing so.

But not nearly every story reuses the exact same script so much so that the original writers had to receive screenwriter credits for the remake.

Right wrong or indifferent it is what it is. I find it amusing that people need to attack it when it was obvious from the start they had no interest in seeing it. Probably had some real fun childhoods.

Wow, I had no idea that was the case. Has that ever happened before? That's remarkably unoriginal, even by modern Hollywood standards,

Yeah, that one was even more pointless.

Funny....I attack it because it IS what it is. A complete rip-off. I find it amusing that people try to defend this kind of crap.

You see it from time to time. Mann's LAST OF THE MOHICANS credits Phillip Dunne's 1930s screenplay. Sometimes the screenplay is the better version (as it was for that book).

Dissenting opinion and resulting intellectual discussion seem to be two things not looked upon favorably at AVS lately(for a while now actually).

If someone disagrees with something, I don't see the issue with that. Whether they've seen the movie or not, it would seem that your opinion on the necessity of a movie is something that is worth discussing. I don't understand the people here lately. This really did used to be a place where the more discerning and loquacious among us could come together and be picky and talk about it. Not anymore.

I LOVE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!
