Just stumbled on this little movie and found it really compelling. An ensemble piece with Jason Bateman, Paula Patton, Alexander Skarsgaard, and a few lesser-knowns who all turn in strong performances, the movie tells three intertwining stories exploring how online connectivity can ultimately result in a 'disconnect' in real life. Definitely worth watching, and I'd be interested to hear what some of you folks think.
We watched this over the weekend and thought it was excellent. I wasn’t so sure for the first 15 minutes or so, but once the different stories settled in I was hooked. It was also impossible for me to not think of Crash, especially the way the director started wrapping things up at the end. The music fit perfectly. Highly recommended.
Given that there have been two major new stories involving bullying victims in the couple weeks since I saw the movie, the storyline involviing the bullied kid and his tormentors seems almost eerie now.
