I watched the other night and I didn't mind it. I have to admit it kept me interested right to the end. It had a great cast but Im not a big fan of Amy Adams. Yeah she looked great in her clothes but as an actress she falls behind Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer lawrence stood out more ( and she wasn't in it as much compared to Amy Adams ) her character was great. The male cast were all great couldn't complain at all. The movie itself I like the way it ended it was great.

+1. I could not agree more. I found this one more enjoyable than Wolf of WS. It was not short, but the twist and turn kept me interested. Really enjoy Jennifer's part doing Live and Let Die, totally unexpected.

After watching this last night, I share those exact sentiments. I do know I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure where I would rank it. One thing I am certain of, and I don't recall thinking this before when watching a movie, across-the-board that has to be the best acting I have ever witnessed. Phenomenal!

Bradley Cooper is so underrated as an actor.

I want to marry Amy Adams. Yesterday.

Totally agreed on both counts. Bradley Cooper has been consistently underestimated as just another pretty boy beefcake ever since he started. Thanks to David O. Russell that seems to have really turned around. Two Oscar nominated performances in two years (Silver Linings Playbook (2012) and American Hustle (2013)) will tend to help an actor's rep. smile.gif

What can I say about Amy Adams? She is adorable!

Watched this movie over the weekend, and while I liked it and thought it was good, it didn't really seem to be Oscar-worthy to me. Good, but not great or outstanding.

The acting was fine, although I was not impressed with Lawrence in her role. Yes, I may be the only one here, or in the world for that matter, but I didn't find her believable in the role. Part of it was the accent. She seemed very uncomfortable with it from the very first scene.

I did enjoy the ending quite a bit. Didn't see that coming at all.
