Saw it with the boys. Loved it. Laughed. Can't wait for the Director's Cut on Blu-Ray! Best one of the series by far.

All the support players and main players were well played for both laughs and nods/winks without being over done. Loved seeing the "rivalry" between Snipes and Statham...an angle that should be well played in the next movie. Same with the new blood/old blood. They have definitely left the door open for going new directions down the road. And yes...Mel was a GREAT bad guy! He was not a nice guy whatsoever and definitely used his screen-time well.

And all the Arnie fans in this thread...you will be greatly rewarded in the nostalgia department when you see this...that's my only hint;-)

Can't wait for the 4th!
Good stuff

Expendables 3 comes in a disappointing 4th at the box office. This is the first I've heard about the leaked bootleg copy. Bummer.

The saddest news is Expendables 3 coming in at fourth place with $16.2 million. To compare,
Expendables 2 had an opening of $28 million and Expendables 1 with $34 million. Perhaps the PG-13
rating killed it, since the previous 2 films were Rated R. Maybe people are getting tired of action
heroes from the past, or maybe the bootleg copy of the film that has been making the rounds
ruined it.

Saw it yesterday - the 'old' jokes are getting, well, old. Basically, the plot is just there to tie in the action scenes. It's your average, over-the-top action movie. The cast made it a little more interesting, but with the fight choreography, there were some scenes you could clearly tell when they cut from one take to another - very amateurish. On the other hand, the sound was top notch. Saw it at an Atmos theatre, and it was LOUD.
