I'll still watch it, regardless. But I do agree it would be nice if it was R rated

Unfortunately not. Saw a billboard for it. PG-13.

In fact a buddy of mine who loves to DL **** confirmed that there is NO blood at all with tons of opportunity for graphic rated-R violence.

I'm sure they will do that super deliberate, one-time F-bomb that every PG13 can capitalize on though.

The latest trailer confirms PG13. This isn't Elmo in Grouchland. It's the f'n Expendables. C'mon, Sly!

Sabotage had a lot of blood, and body pieces. I guess Sly is looking at the $$$ value. Get everyone in to watch

The first two Expendables had blood and body pieces too. And unlike Sabotage, they were fun movies to watch. I understand Sly wanting the $$$. But this is an Expendables movie. It has a certain pedigree to live up to and shouldn't be watered down. John Rambo wouldn't be pleased.

No doubt. What a lame decision. Up next, PG13 Rambo.

Love it -

This is an Out Of Date Fashion Show we don't want to watch and it blows but if it just had this thing we'll have an excuse to watch it.

Did I get that about right?

Yes, I meant to say, "How can they afford all those people?"

Took me this long to realize my typo, and that people were befuddled by my remark with that typo.

Margot Robbie is THE most exquisite human creature on the face of the planet, in this moment in time.

You don't watch Expendables because of script, blood, gore or action.

You watch it because its cast and their interaction with each other.

So, this is the Hetero version of watching Kim or Paris?

Its a good movie and it gave balance to the characters actors and sports celebrities in this movie. Good job, hope to see jackie chan in the next sequel. as the villain and will fight all of them together..

Saw it with the boys. Loved it. Laughed. Can't wait for the Director's Cut on Blu-Ray! Best one of the series by far.

All the support players and main players were well played for both laughs and nods/winks without being over done. Loved seeing the "rivalry" between Snipes and Statham...an angle that should be well played in the next movie. Same with the new blood/old blood. They have definitely left the door open for going new directions down the road. And yes...Mel was a GREAT bad guy! He was not a nice guy whatsoever and definitely used his screen-time well.

And all the Arnie fans in this thread...you will be greatly rewarded in the nostalgia department when you see this...that's my only hint;-)

Can't wait for the 4th!

Expendables 3 comes in a disappointing 4th at the box office. This is the first I've heard about the leaked bootleg copy. Bummer.

Quote:
The saddest news is Expendables 3 coming in at fourth place with $16.2 million. To compare,
Expendables 2 had an opening of $28 million and Expendables 1 with $34 million. Perhaps the PG-13
rating killed it, since the previous 2 films were Rated R. Maybe people are getting tired of action
heroes from the past, or maybe the bootleg copy of the film that has been making the rounds
ruined it.

I have yet to see an Expendables movie. This does not seem to be an issue with me. I will continue avoiding them. Thank you.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.
