Hmm. Could be decent. I'll keep an eye on it.

I am getting tired of Samuel L Jackson doing his best 'Samuel L Jackson' in every movie though.

I have liked Samuel L. ever since Pulp Fiction, which got him an Oscar nomination and his performance in Jackie Brown, which I liked even better: ("She as country as a chicken coop." smile.gif) Don't know anything about Kite, though.

Oh well yeah! He was great back then. Jackie Brown is one of my favorite movies (by far Tarantino's best and most underrated) and he is great in it.

But since around Snakes On a Plane, he's been just kind of annoying.

I liked him in pulp fiction, he was fantastic.

I own the Jackie Brown BD and, as indicated in my earlier post, love the film. Although I think Tarantino has made several films, which may be marginally better, I agree with you that Jackie Brown is the most underrated. Everybody in it was great. For example, Bridget Fonda tickled me to death and both Pam Grier and Robert Forster gave the performances of a lifetime in roles of a lifetime.

I love that film. With regards to Jackson, I've always found the comparison between Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction interesting. A killer in both, but still very different. While I wouldn't want to meet Jules on a bad day in a dark alley, Ordell was just plain evil and much scarier.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

This here is JUST the official trailer from YT, if you're interested in seeing all the extra clips I left the link in the original post. Btw I gotta say this Kite character looks a lot,.. and I mean a whole lot like Milla Jovovich's orange hair In The 5th Element. Like the gun esp, or maybe it could be Luc Besson got his inspiration from the Anime Kite.

I really hope this signals, along with Edge of Tomorrow, a wave of anime/manga adaptations. There is some awesome stuff in the genre that bleeds originality and the "western" audience won't feel as butthurt on the releases because it isn't their childhood being raped. Yes, some things are familiar and seen in video games but there's enough to go around for sure. The current state of rated R could use a housecleaning and anime/manga could do it.
