Not sure what I think of this yet. Looks to be more of a comedy.

Whether the comedy works as well as The Avengers or not, remains to be seen (fingers crossed).

I loved The Avengers. Here's hoping Marvel hits another home run with Guardians. It looks to have an excellent cast going for it.

I really like the premise of this but the "comedy" reminds me more of Planet 51 than Avengers. Hopefully, in context it is better.

I'll wait till I'll read the reviews. The comedy side of it doesn't appeal to me.

I remember this title from way back, but don't recall the characters. Anyway, looks great; as long as it isn't "Howard the Duck"-like suckage, it should be OK.

It's exactly what got me. I have no knowledge of the series but as he rolled up the middle finger I was all in.

I have to admit I will probably see this movie regardless of how good it is.

I have a thing for "Rock" (a name I use as a little reference to Rocky Raccoon).

Greatly admire their personality, ingenuity, and perseverance.
At Oink's Cascade Summer Retreat, I have a lot of dealings with 'em every year....amazing creature if there ever was one.wink.gif

I showed the trailer for GOTG to my 5 and 7 y.o. boys this morning. They are pumped and can't wait until August. They already want to be Rocket Racoon for Halloween.

This is kind of growing on me. My kids already knew about the Guardians from their appearances on The Ultimate Spider-Man show. They're stoked to see the movie.

I'm very curious to see the physical combat and if it's real or all animated. They do have two hand to hand types and it would be a shame for it to all be cartoon. I understand they are augmented.

I have never understood the hatred directed towards Rocky Raccoon.
Most of what they eat are invertebrates humans hate.

I've heard some folks bitch about raccoons getting into garbage cans (there is a cure, it's called bungie cords).
Or eating pet food left outdoors (here's a hint: DON'T LEAVE PET FOOD OUTSIDE AT NIGHT).
Or birdseed (here's a hint: DON'T LEAVE BIRDSEED OUT AT NIGHT).

It's sad some humans are incapable of exceeding the intelligence of a little furry critter.rolleyes.gif
However, as my momma used to say, "Every so often, the human gene pool needs an extra splash of chlorine."

You have good reason to be unnerved. They're lethal at eight months, and I do mean lethal. I've hunted most things that can hunt you, but the way these things move... smile.gif

Yeah, I have to say I'm a little disappointed at those two three! fearsome examples of suburbia's top predator, responsible for terminating-without-prejudice around a billion other little furry & flying critters hanging around our homes every year, just standing there watching that backyard bully take their lunch money. Shameful.

That's just the way they are.
They're not intimidated by cats and just ignore 'em whenever they meet.
I have seen this over and over again.
Even when a cat is guarding a bowl of food, Rocky don't care....if the cat swats them, no big deal.biggrin.gif
