I haven't heard Dolby Atmos yet, and was interested to hear it. It's showing locally for 300 movie.and wanted to know how well it's implemented in that movie - whether this is a worth it to watch - as I'm pretty much just watching the movie (mildly interested only) to sample Atmos

thx

great question. I saw it in atmos. it was really good. I have seen others. I would say that wolverine was my favorite. I have seen man of steel, hobbit 2, pacific rim in atmos.

thanks - do you mean that t's enough better than regular Dolby 7.1 to spend the time/$ to experience- or just that it's a good movie?

I saw this in an AMC Prime theater and thought the film was ok overall. Audio wise it's hard to say whether or not it was a bombastic atmos mix when compared to oblivion and gravity. It did sound good though!

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...

there are more speakers for Dolby Atmos. 11.1 or so. all around the theatre.. makes you feel in the movie, like 3d does for visual viewing. some work better then others I say about using it.
I enjoyed the movie. its a different kind of sequel. I found it easier to follow. Captain America 2 will be in dolby Atmos. they will probably be good one to try with Atmos.

Atmos can use up to 64 discrete speakers. The exact number of speakers will vary depending on the size and layout of the auditorium, but it's far more than 11.1. I believe the smallest installation now has at least 32.
