Is it just me, or does anyone else think they've already seen this movie? I'm sure it'll be fine and plenty of eye candy, but still...

Sounded like CB was using his Batman voice.

While it can make for a cool effect, the poster looks weird, like someone forgot to uncheck the Black&White adjustment layer or something...

I thought it was a photoshop joke at first.

Yes - I expected it to not last for long - I will re-post when it is available.

For some reason the trailer was published on YouTube yesterday and disappeared after some hours - then somebody had already downloaded it and re-posted it.

Don't know what Fox is doing here but seems like they have some exclusive deals going on.

There is a Apple link that still works; http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/f...sgodsandkings/

Looking at that picture again. Now it just makes me laugh. Bale looks so out of place there. Not just the photography of it, but his rather clean cut appearance, like he just showed up at the office to put in his 8 hours. I swear there's really someone else supposed to be in that pic...

Um, Yes - The Zimmer/Garrard Light score from Iglasias kind of puts you right there. No need to point out all the Ridley Sandals we'll see

Ok, good, with this movie done an out of his system Ridley can finally get back to doing some of the cool stuff on his agenda.

This is a stylized interpretation of the biblical story, so I am assuming Ridley is taking some liberties with the cleanliness of the actors and locales. I don't think I'd want to see a realistic Egypt and its people of that day on the screen. Having said that, I can excuse Bale's clean-cut look from the trailer to the extent that he is only shown in his princely-phase where the royalty were relatively more clean compared to the commoners/slaves. It'd be interesting to see how Bale's Moses looks after his Mt.Sinai experience.

P.S.
Seems like Ridley is back to his Teal-Orange heavy color palette, just like his Kingdom of Heaven and Prometheus. If he thinks that's HIS look, he had been copied and exceeded by many others for years, and I hope he'd go back to a more richer color palette.

The guy's old. His vision is probably shot. He may not be able to see any other colors than teal and orange anymore.

Makes me wonder what Michael Bay's phlegms...er, films...will look and sound like when his senses start going south.

Nope it's not just you, looks like a bad expirament went wrong.

The Mummy meets Gladiator with a dash of The ten commandments. Looks like they're doing a spoof on classic Historical films.

I thought the same thing yesterday too when I saw the trailer at the theater. All though I think this one is the Moses on steriod's version. Back then there was no FDA to control what drugs you could get. Any previous movie on the same story line failed to adequately show that.

I can't help but think about Sumerian Psycho. I can hear the voice over, "Look at the subtle grain on his scrolls, and the gold trim. The texture is incredible, and the 2nd Dynasty lettering is so tasteful. Oh my God, it even has a watermark."

This looks pretty good.

Didnt moses have a stuttering problem?

“I am not eloquent,” Moses told God at the burning bush. “I never have been. So I think you have asked the wrong man. For you see, I am heavy of mouth and heavy of tongue ” (Exod. 4:10)

You didn't actually expect that Ridley Scott, his four screenwriters, or any of the studio executives who greenlit the movie have actually read the book of Exodus, or any of the Bible, did you?

Even if they did, there's no way Hollywood would portray Moses as a stutterer. They're not in the business of accurately portraying the physical characteristics of historical figures.
