One of the most likeable actors in TV and film. In particular, The Rockford Files was one of my favorite TV shows. He will surely be missed. RIP.

+ A Gazillion...

A true gentleman and an outstanding actor. Thoroughly entertaining.

One of my favorite Rockford Files episodes is when Jimmy and Angel are tied up in a warehouse by the mob. Angel looks at his captors and says "Tell you what - - kill Rockford and I'll tell everyone that you guys mean BUSINESS!!!) The look on Jimmy's face was priceless. A real loss.

I just saw this news.:( I remember watching The Rockford Files with my parents when I was but a wee lad and there were only 4 channels. Still in my top five tv shows of all time. RIP James.

You could always depend on a fun viewing experience when he was on hand. R.I.P.

Agree - Look back on Rockford Files as one of the few TV shows that had something good in the script. Perhaps it was just the actor that held it together ;)

Love that show.... brings back a lot of old memories. James Garner is one of the few likeable actors. And marries to the same person for nearly 50 years. That is something rare in hollywood. And rare in todays marriages.
