Good luck to them in fixing Stephen King's crappy ending to that book.

I hate remakes, but I can along with this one since the original was a just a tv mini series. I'll be looking forward to this one.

Yeah I think IT will follow the book more than let's say Kubrick's The Shining. I like both that book and the movie.

I like the mini series because Tim Curry was perfect in it!

This looks awesome.

I too liked the miniseries. Tim Curry really added some real creep-factor to it. I wonder if he's the reason so many people are afraid of clowns. This one looks creepy, and downright scary.

Yes. I'm pretty sure it was IT that permanently made me go, "NOPE!" to clowns. So creepy. Ugh!

Actually, I can tolerate them enough but they do creep me out just right. Feels good, yeah?

This actually looks pretty okay. I'm down.

The mini series hasn't held up well for me. I remember being scared when I first saw it. Now it just sucks.

Trailer looks like every other trailer. Meaning take it with a grain of whatever you like to measure by grain. I did enjoy one thing: Little bastard got his bell rung by that caution sign. Reminds me of being at Disney a few years ago. My daughter was walking ahead of us with my phone, playing a game with her face buried in it and not paying attention to anything else. We all saw the 4" tall metal sign approaching. She didn't. We stopped and watched. It was great. Her forehead made the coolest "DING!" sound upon impact. Kids are so much fun.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

Heh. When I was about as old as the kids in this movie, I, like probably a lot of other kids, would grab the family lawn mower and solicit the neighborhood for "cash for mow". So I'm in the backyard of a neighbor, mowing at maximum speed, up against the house, head down. Window air conditioner reality check! Down for the count, at least thirty seconds. Good times.

We need a Stephen King crossover film. Pennywise vs. Barlow sounds precisely like the kind of crap that will put asses in seats, but not necessarily theater seats.

Wow your daughter must be really short!

Packing a lot of sound into a small room.

I saw this at the Tysons AMC Dolby Cinema yesterday... Great movie but seemed like the right channel speaker was not functioning. Anytime there was any music it only came from the left speaker. Until its fixed I would avoid the Tysons Dolby theater.

Did you complain to management? That would at least get you a free pass or two for the next events...

saw this on the weekend and didnt really do much for me. should have maybe had a little less gore and been released as a kids movie, wouldve made more sense.

Best part of the experience was when someone in the audience released a red balloon in the middle of the movie which floated up to the ceiling !

All the best parts of the book are in the first half. The second half is going to require some major rewriting to not come out totally idiotic and awful. The TV miniseries failed in that regard.

This is Stephen King. He doesn't write children's books although he often has children as his main characters. It wouldn't make it as a children's movie. Clowns are scary, that's the premise...
