The Doobie Brothers

Greetings all, from Scotland.

Has anyone seen the Doobies recently? It`s been a lifetime ambition of mine to see my favourite band am finally seeing them support Steely Dan in London in October and the following week when they headline their own show in Glasgow.

How are they performing and still as tight vocally considering their ages? I`m hoping for a guest appearance from Mike McDonald but can`t see that happening to be honest Their current tour with Journey, EW&F, Eagles etc looks awesome but just a little too far to come

My daughter saw them perform last year and was wowed. Voices of the original members Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons have remained the same. She recommends that anyone with a chance to see them do so.

Thanks Mr G.

Yeah, after a 40 odd years wait, it can`t come soon enough.

It`s actually a joke that they and in the R&R hall of fame.

I agree. Another major oversight IMO is the absence of Joe Cocker.

The Brothers are at the Alaska State Fair this weekend... but I don't have time to go... bummer.

I did see them in concert many many years ago in Pittsburgh.

One of my all time favorite bands.
