Is this supposed to be in continuity with the Michael Bay movies? Because Bumblebee arrived on Earth with the rest of the Autobots in 2007 in those films.

It's been a while since I've watched the first film, but wasn't Bumblebee already on Earth, as an old Camaro? It was him who sent the signal to alert Optimus and the others iirc, which would suggest that for some reason, he was there the whole time, well before the other Autobots.

Hmm, I remember him being an old junker, but I don't remember the reason why. These are not movies I revisit after one viewing.

The Wikipedia plot summary for the movie claims that Bumblebee was a scout who arrived on Earth first, so I guess you're right.

Well apparently in the Last Knight he was here fighting Nazis in WWII so I'm not sure where any continuity is actually.

These films are all over the place. But I enjoy them.
