I highly recommend this movie for anyone in a management/leadership position. I first saw parts of this movie a couple years ago in grad school. It was used to demonstrate effective leadership. That it does! Gregory Peck gives a great performance as a general who turns around a "hard luck" bomber unit. This is a good WWII movie, has great characters, and provides another gritty view of the war and the people who fought it.

The transfer is as good as you could hope for in a B&W movie made more than 50 years ago. The picture is 4:3, but the contrast is good and there are very few visible problems with the film. The soundtrack is stereo, but 95% of the movie is dialog, so that doesn't detract in the least.

Bottom line: If you rent this one with the expectation of learning something, you'll be very pleased. If you want an action packed romp that'll stress your home theater, keep looking.
