I've got Casablanca and Key Largo and I've seen the Maltese Falcon and the Caine Mutiny.

What else should I be checking out on DVD?

I can't think of another one on DVD. Most of his films are on VHS and LD though. I like:

DEAD END
HIGH SIERRA
THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT
THE BIG SLEEP
THE TREASURE OF SIERRA MADRE
THE AFFRICAN QUEEN...I think it's on DVD...?
SIROCCO
ACTION IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC

I haven't seen all his films, but I'm working on it! I find his films hard to dislike...Best wishes!

The Big Sleep is definitely one to get ... there are 2 versions of the movie on one disc along with a side-by-side comparison documentary. One version is the well-known theatrical version, the other version is the recently dug up, not-so well-known version.

When the studio saw the chemistry between bogie and bacall, they asked that the director go back and re-shoot some scenes and add in some scenes to show more interaction between the two, this is the theatrical version most people have seen. The original version had less chemistry and less scenes of the two together and it makes the movie more linear.

Definitely one to own ...

As has been mentioned the Howard Hawk's "The Big Sleep" is a very good film and will have your head spinning trying to figure out the plot. Also I can't believe no one mentioned Billy Wilder's "Sabrina" also starring William Holden and Audrey Hepburn. This is another great film.
Also out on DVD is another John Huston collaboration "Beat the Devil" which is on my list and the "Barefoot Contessa".

What we should be looking forward to in the future is the John Huston films "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" and "The African Queen." The comedy "We're No Angels" is also one I'd like to see on DVD.
