I just watched about 20 minutes while moving through various chapters and I am floored by the quality of this anamorphic transfer, which came from a new IP from the original negative. Detail is high and the picture is so vastly superior to the Japanese laserdisc (which was widescreen at 2.20:1, slightly squeezed), that my jaw dropped.

Suspense fans should pick this baby up. Great movie. And it looks like a great DVD from Anchor Bay, which has done justice to DEEP RED, INFERNO and now CAT 'O NINE TAILS (their TENEBRAE and PHENOMENA would be perfect if they were 16x9).
