I'm renting a 12' screen and bright PJ to show a backyard neighborhood theatre thing, a few kilowatts of audio--need to keep the rating to PG (not PG13). Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on good movies in the space/sci-fi genre? Would love to do Star Wars, but...you know the problem there.
TIA,

Matt

No access to a Laserdisc player and the four Star Wars films available on that format?

enemy mine, 2010, battlestar galactica, close encounters, star trek: wrath of khan, farscape series, forbidden planet, lost in space, last starfighter, stargate, and even though it isn't space it is sci-fi, x-men.

Thanks for the thoughts. I was aware of the Star Wars on LD, but I can't find a solution w/ Dolby Digital outputs--as I understand it, the LD is Pro Logic out--unless I can find a very rare (and expensive) RF modulator to convert to contemporary DD. I'd LOVE to get a Star Wars that I could play using Dolby Digital or DTS, but can't find all the pieces of the puzzle.

Ghostbusters 1 and 2
Titan AE (sweet DTS soundtrack)
Transformers The Movie (has one ocurrence of the S word but you barely notice it)

Owning a DVD player and a computer does not make you a film scholar.

Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I don't understand.
