Despite the "save the rainforest" theme, the animation was pretty impressive for its time, and the music isn't bad, either. Does anyone know if this ever has been released on dvd or is slated to be released anytime in the near future?

In Leonard Maltin's 2001 video guide it is listed s available on VHS and LD only. So, it's only out, if it's recent. It sounds like the kind of title that Anchor Bay or Criterion might do? Best wishes!

Man, I loved that movie. That bat was nuts and the songs were cool as hell. Especially when the monster was starting to change and he was in the cutting machine sucking up the fumes and getting stronger. Damn, that just brings back memories. I would love to have this on dvd, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
