I like this film! I bought an LD of it last year. I may buy it again...Thanks Tim! I hope all Seller's "minor" films make DVD. THE MOUSE THAT ROARED and WALTZ OF THE TOREADORS would be nice. My dad really enjoyed LE PAR-TAY too. Muchas gracias mi compadre por teatro del casa!

Tim,

The Party is one of my favorite Peter Sellers movies. Had no idea a DVD was about to be released, so found your post most intriguing and valuable. Immediately put an order for a copy at DVD Empire and is on its way! http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thanks for the heads up...

Frank,

Glad to hear. I would have titled more appropriately if I knew.

Also hear El Cid is finally coming out this Dec or Jan.

Tim,

Yeah...heard that too! Btw, do you know that El Cid is already available on DVD in Europe (R2/R3) and elsewhere?
I heard that is anomorphic to boot! I'll be ordering one from England shortly.

While on the subject of R2 or R3 (PAL only?) DVDs, does anyone overseas know if The Wind And The Lion is available on DVD? I don't think it is but would snap one up if it was! Will appreciate any input regarding this one... http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Tim,

Yeah...like a Skyworth DVD-1050p progressive scan player...is cheap and does a creditable job with R2/R3 DVDs!
Not very good with R1 jobs due to not meeting my display's native resolution, resulting in the production of artifacts galore, ugh!...
