This happened to me when I went to the Silver Spring (MD) Majestic - Consolidated theaters. From now on, I will only drag my wife to the movies if I get free tickets...
I took my two kids to the movie. There were only about 25 people in the theatre and no cellphones went off. The picture and sound were fantastic (best I have ever experienced) - the only downside being my having to escort my son (7 yrs old) to the bathroom twice! But I made sure it was during quieter scenes.

I have a HT setup with 100" screen etc. but I doubt in my budget I could ever reproduce the theatre experience I had at this movie

We all really enjoyed the movie, story, SFX and all. Of course knowing it was filmed in my home town of Wellington and by a local director made us all the more proud!

Told my wife to go and she went with some girl friends. They all enjoyed it also

My guess is that Prince Caspian is being greenlighted right now (unless I've missed a press release to that effect).

I recently rewatched the original King Kong on cable, and although it is a groundbreaking classic and will remain so forever, I prefer this latest version because Kong was a terrific beast.

I love the smell of karma in the morning.

Man Jumps to Death From Empire State Bldg.
Feb 02 10:38 AM US/Eastern
NEW YORK

A 21-year-old man jumped to his death from the Empire State Building, police said Thursday.

Dovid Abramowitz had bought a ticket to the 86th-floor observation deck but found his way to a vacant office on the 66th floor, where he jumped Wednesday afternoon, said police spokesman Lt. John Grimpel. His body was discovered on a sixth-floor landing.

Abramowitz, who lived in Manhattan, did not work in the building, said Detective John Sweeney. Sweeney did not know how the man reached the 66th floor office. Police also had no information on whether a suicide note was left behind.

More than 30 people have committed suicide at the building since it opened in 1931. Before Wednesday, the most recent was believed to have been in 2004, when a man jumped from the observation deck.

The 102-story skyscraper reaches 1,454 feet to the top of its lightning rod.

How very very curious that the historic human free-fall tally was noted and not a whiff or hint of that horrific tragic day when the confluence of Barnum and Bailey style capitalist avarice and huckster hubris merging with the might of the US military/industrial complex conspired to craft the demise of a certain outsized goliath simian. Smacks of a scandalous King Kong sized coverup!

Only partly covered up. As you recall, a plane did crash into the ESB. What they never told you is why it crashed - i.e., it was flung against the building by KK himself.

I'm just glad it is off the top 10 list, and down to a tiny theater in our cineplex now...

I think he has a life, and his joy at seeing KK becoming a forgotten movie is from knowing that other people, who were caught up with a movie instead of having a live, can now have a life, too.

I rewatched KK a few weeks ago, and he indeed took a big whiff of the first female he grabbed up off the street.
