In your own opinion, what was the best DVD in terms of SQ only for 2006?*

*Bonus points for specifically stating WHY.**

**Super bonus points and kudos for stating why and referencing timeframes as examples.

My vote goes to Pirates of The Caribbean 2 Dead Mans Chest. Good use of surrounds and LFE with an excellent full sound, that wasn't overly bright.

"What do you mean it's too loud? My ears aren't even bleeding yet!"

Wel gee, I haven't seen every DVD out there for example haven't chcked the MI3 DVD out yet. But here is my vote for the ones I did see.

defenetly winner: Pirates of The Carribean 2. Didn't think the movie was that good but it was funny and entertaining. And the sound was almost the best I've heard since Master & Commander, Open Range, House of flying daggers. The surrounds were very atmosheric and the bass was tight and very balanced. Pure demo material.

Also Poseidon, X-Men 3 and Cars come into following order. monster house and King Kong were also noticible for a check out.

Display: Optoma HD70
Player: PS3
Receiver: Pioneer 1015
Fronts / surrounds: SVS SBS-01
Centre: SVS SCS-01
Sub: SVS PC13 Ultra

X-man 3 (DTS-ES) Bridge scene and the end fight scene come to mind.
Honorable mention
Running Scared (DTS-ES). opening gun scene, Hocky scene, almost beat out X3 in my mind.
Pulse(DD) LFE server room . Outstanding best LFE I have ever encountered.
