I'm aware of the HD-DVD release of the Eagles Farewell I Tour. Does that have a lossless track on it? Any comparisons to the regular DVD (in particular audio)?

And are there any other concert DVDs with multichannel lossless audio (ie we already have all the 2 channel PCM concerts)?

I'm glad I asked - this is a favorite of mine and I didn't realize that it came out in HD.

Anyone who has heard both the SD and HD versions care to comment on the difference in sound quality?

Thanks.

Got/had both...well, sold the dts version on ebay yesterday.

...and I thought the dts sounded good...Till I heard TrueHD!

Vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, bass, drums, all sound awesome! If
you close your eyes it feels like Ann/Nancy are singing right in front of
your room.

Vocals in Alone are chilling!

For no dedicated LFE this disc rocks, from the bass guitar in Magic
Man, Barracuda and Black Dog to the kick drums in Battle of Evermore, Straight
On and These Dreams, it pounds!!

...PQ's not too shabby either!

Peter Gabriels GROWING UP LIVE concert DVD was shot in HD. The DVD version contains a DTS 1.6mbit soundtrack, 4.1 and 2.0 mixes....supposedly when this is released on an HD format it will be available with a lossless sound mix of some sort.

I've seen the DVD version, as well as seen the HD version broadcast on INHD, but they chose to provide the 2 channel DD mix and not the 4.1 mix.

I always found that it's wierd to include an LFE on a music concert. What do you put on it ? - unless it's like explosions/pyro during the concert.

And then often times they don't mix a center channel which makes way more sense.
