I think the fact that INDY IV is taking place in the '50s instead of the '30s.....

I recommend nobody watch it, so when the final film is released we are all surprised, and don't know every single bit about the movie before we walk into the theatre :P

I highly doubt they will give much info out with the footage.... didn't get a chance to watch it on E.T., but pulled a couple of pics off of some footage at Indianajones.com

And the link for the video I pulled it from.

Don't know if this has been posted...apparently, in a report I read yesterday, the boys are now shooting on the Big Island, just north of Hilo.
An interesting choice of locales...there are some massive sea cliffs up that way (similiar to the ones on Kauai that were used for JP).

Just visited Kauai this March, I had no clue they shot JP there. However soon as I landed I knew a saw "this place" somewhere. Later took the chopper island tour, and found out that there were a few other films were shot there as well. Cool little island for sure.

Along with some little TV shows called "Lost" and "Fantasy Island. That whole region is a ranch film companies can rent and visitors can tour.

That would be Raiders of the Lost Ark, not arch.

Wasn't Raiders of the Lost Arch that episode of Star Trek: TNG where the holodeck characters become self aware...?

Went to Kauai about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, it rained nearly the entire 2 weeks I was there.
Easy to see why they call it the "Garden Isle"....the amount of flowering flora has to be seen to be believed.
Northern Kauai is a great place for a honeymoon or a 2nd honeymoon.

I'm hoping that this film will catch Ford as viable at 65 as Cary Grant was at 59 in Charade - one of his best. We age much better these days, and while Indy is a bit more physical than Grant's character, I had no trouble with the fight sequences in that film including the excellent one on the top of the building and sign. I have confidence that Ford and Speilberg can bring it off. Willis brought his off with the same doubts abounding.

Uh, considering 25 years have past since the last time we really saw her in full form in the first Raiders movie, she looks almost DISTURBINGLY ageless. Look at her face, outside from 10-20lbs or so, she could easily have just stepped out of 1982.

Or....maybe Lucas has finally nailed the whole "digital actor" stuff

"It ain't the years, it's the mileage".

Seriously, though...Allen doesn't look all that different in INDY IV than she did in RAIDERS. Much less so than Ford does.

Of course, can you picture the "original" Indy/Marion choices now (or then)?

Tom Selleck and Sean Young?

She's just has very unfeminine features, one of the reasons that she pulled off her role so convincingly in Raiders. Can you picture some powderpuff starlet today trying to pull of running a bar in Mongolia or somewhere, drinking crazy neanderthals under the table?

Well ok maybe Lindsey Lohan...but thats only because we know about her REAL life...in character? no way

Yes, I agree - she definitely fits the bill. I just don't get it when guys refer to her as attractive either then or now (same either decade) unless they are into that Mongolia Bartender look.

You don't have to get it Nuener.

We all have different tastes in women.

Karen Allen, to me, looked great then and now (56 in October).

That doesn't make me any better than you or you better than me.
