I'd love to see another movie come out. I saw Serenity in the theater without ever having seen the series on Fox. After that, I got the movie on DVD, Firefly DVD box set, and eventually the HD-DVD. I'd definitely got see the movie and purchase it later if it was good!

Me too. I really only saw the movie (that would be Serenity, not Mad Max) about 6 months ago on one of the movie channels after reading posts about it here in the forum and after that went back and have watched many of the Firefly episodes on UHD. I have really enjoyed them so far. I picked up the DVD of Firefly yesterday and hope to fill in the episodes I missed. It was a fun show with an interesting and pretty fresh premise. Great characters too.

I think the OP is the ONLY one that can complain about a thread jack...

I think that natural progression of threads is great as well... esp if the OP participants.

So what are your thoughts on thread jacking? OK or not?

I think it's OK, unless there is an old fogy about...

I can think of two very good reasons for a sequel.

Morena Baccarin

Jewel Staite

Funny, I always thought of the two, Morena was hot and Jewel was cute, but based on these two pictures, I have to switch, and Jewel is hot and Morena is cute

From the first time that I saw Jewel (Kaylee) on the first episode, I thought she was to die for. The irony is that her character lacks self-confidence, and needs to be told she is pretty, when in fact she is a goddess.

at the risk of changing the subject....

Jewel is now on one of the stargate shows. And she still looks good! I'm not a big fan of the genre myself, but my fiancee is. And there are more than enough hotties to join her to watch an episode every now and then.

That also describes her new role on Stargate Atlantis, where she plays the Atlantis doctor, character name Dr. Jennifer Keller. She is shy, nerdish, timid, frightened by weapons, and dresses like a man in a shapeless jumpsuit.

They could have kept Dr. Carson Beckett (Paul McGillian), who was a favorite character of mine, and added Jewel as a sexy nurse or even a Field Medic.

Too many series stars, perhaps?

That bit of dialog in "Serenity" with Kaylee lamenting her poor love-life was hilarious. Her comment (think "batteries") prompted Mal to say he didn't need to hear any more, but Jayne chimed in, "I could stand to hear some more of that!"
