Thanks for the news. Any DTV addition is good news to me. Read recently in this NYC HDTV Group that some felt the UPN subchannel carried with Fox had better picture quality. Suspect we won't be getting both DTV sources from TWC. I've been unable to tune in UHF 44 (Fox/UPN), even though I'm only 9 blocks from the transmitter.
You may have also asked TWC's Bob Watson (212 598 7363; mailto:email@example.com) when we'll be getting NBC, ABC, PBS, etc. via the fiber optic links TWC has with the networks, pending restoration of OTA HDTV locally for these sources.
I noticed in my Dec. cable bill that TWC's president says such fiber links are in place. Bob or his assistant always tell me when I ask about NBC/ABC/PBS restoration via fiber that engineers are working on OTA antenna restoration and that TWC lost equipment in the 9/11 attack. That seems to sidestep my queries. -- John
