They're gonna need it with all the stuff they are going to be cramming into 6MHz

Only in America... think I had to wait 26 days for CC.

You don't see the folks @ 29 crying for a stay of excecution, do ya?

525kW at 1095' now on RF34

CP for 360kW at 1154' on repack RF36

Now requesting 780kW at 353m (1158') for RF36

IIRC, WQHS' RF 34 is still side-mounted on the tower (from the pre-transition days) with the former analog still on the top. The changes in height suggests that they will replace the analog antenna with the RF 36 one.

Newer is not always better.

If a lot of stations that weren't moved in the repack now request power increases, this will squeeze out even more LPTV's and translators like WOIO's Akron repeater.

Good. I don't need an Akron repeater anyways. I get WOIO on VHF 10 just fine down here right next to the repeater tower. I hope it goes away. The TV band is too crowded with these nuisance duplicates. I want more DX, not locals.

By the way, DX was good on early Saturday morning. WTVO in Rockford IL and WSMH in Flint MI decoded over top W16DO, both on DT 16.

I could use a WOIO repeater up here (that isn't going to happen), you tell em Andrew K, just get an FM trap, problem solved, but there apparently isn't anything we can do about CFPL.

I'm surprised that WKYC hasn't aired any local commercials on COZI TV yet. Perhaps that's a good thing as they mostly aired the same PSA's and reporter promos over and over again on the old weather radar. Still, wouldn't they want at least some profit from 3.3? You would think that some of their advertisers (Like Theil's Home Solutions) would be buying more time with more eyeballs glued to COZI TV.

Newer is not always better.

The LPTVs are secondary, so the alternative is that they go through the exercise of filing for new channels just to then, when the freeze is later lifted, having spent the time and money on it, being bumped. This way, at least they know what the world looks like going into it and they're not risking a double-spend.
