All cable boxes and modem were rebooted this morning by TWC. Modem came back 16/4. Same old speeds.

Something is not right. Just noticed my upstream is 51db since the change. It is usually 42. That is a huge jump in power level. Downstream also a bit higher but not as much. It used to be around .5 - 1.0 for all channels, so it has gone up about 1 db.

Won't be long til that page is 100% reality... Some folks might get a surprise in the next 2 weeks

*The page only lists Charlotte and Raleigh if you put in your zip and in it's one of those 2 markets.

Will the regular TWC internet service (15mb download) be bumped up to 50 mb?

The kids over on DSLReports in Wake Forest started getting 300/20 today. Tests are coming in at 358/24.

Just FYI, most of the Charlotte market (including Gastonia, Shelby etc.) should receive MAXX speeds by 8/12. But it's TWC (Things Will Change). My zip code 28016 is scheduled for 7/22. Please don't pester me with questions regarding specific zip codes... I don't want to piss off my source, thanks.

I ended up inquiring into the speed increase when I was talking to TWC Billing about something else. The rep quoted August as well and although there won't be an increase in price, there will be an increase in fee(s). The rep didn't go into detail. In the end, we will still pay more.

The rep doesn't know.... They're last in the chain to know.

While I don't doubt price increases are going to happen, I would think the Charlotte area having competition will limit those increases.
