To all in Louisville or a bit east or NE, some GREAT tropo going on tonight.

Catching WKRC-DT 31 (CBS) and WXIX-DT 29 (FOX) with signal strengths in the 80s and some dropouts once in a while as some fade hits.

If I had a VHF antenna on the roof I'm sure I could lock on WCPO-DT 10 (ABC).

Getting good tropospheric scatter up here in SW Ohio as well, it started happening around 4pm and seems to be slowly and steadily increasing!

Pulled in 2 New DTV loggings from Lexington, KY
WTVQ-DT 40 ABC (107 Miles) and WKLE-DT 42 KET (118 Miles) ... No long hauls yet, but I believe both of those are fairly LP.

2 New loggings! Another good sign is that fog is begining to form here.

:)

Very low power on WTVQ. Last I heard...they were are 1kW!

UPDATE:
This morning I locked on three of the Indianapolis digitals (including WXIN-DT 45 thru a local 45 to my north, too!) with strong signal strength. The other two were WTHR-DT 46 and WRTV-DT 25.

I even got a blip on WTVF-DT 56 in Nashville.

Forecast looks good again for tonight and tomorrow morning.

Jerry, you da man! I used to DX many years ago when I lived in south Louisville and my father was a ham radio op. who put up a 50ft. tower with motor mast etc. We had a yagi then and I would DX all around when he wasn't home. Brings back old memories. Where I live now there are neighborhood restrictions against putting up an outside antenna so I have a couple of dishes:) I DX by proxy:)

If I had the time. Plus, a tall tower in my backyard would certainly draw the ire of neighbors and the developers.

I've already spent more time than I should have on this. Have my own business and have TONS of home projects that need to be done plus landscaping I need to do.

This all started as an attempt to just pick up Cincinnati digitals so I could watch some HD since I knew the Louisville locals would drop the ball (PBS has some HD but not a lot and they multicast so even the demo loop isn't HD). ABC will be coming up in a couple of weeks which is good and I can fall back on DISH for CBS-HD but...still.... :)

Some day soon, though, as I doubt I'll stay here more than 4-5 more years. Gives me time to find a good spot on top of a hill somewhere :)
