Has anyone been able to get Monopoly-vision to acknowledge the 8-VSB signal on their transmission? Its awesome to watch the Mets in HD (even if its only for home games), but I would love to ask them a couple of questions.

I've done a couple of searches on this forum, but I don't see much information. Since Time Warner in NYC is broadcasting NBC-HD, it would be great if we could get the same on LI. It would also be nice if MSG-DT and FSNY-DT broadcast in DD 5.1.

I know this is asking a lot for a free signal, but its worth a shot. Anyone have a contact? With all of the expertise and networking on the forum, somebody has to know someone in Cablevision's engineering dept.

Lots of HDTV discussion on the Cablevison iO Yahoo discussion board.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cablevision_digital/

Basically, they are "working on" a means of passing through HD signals through the Sony iO box. They are aware that they may need to satisfy people with component, 1394 and DVI inputs. As far as what channels will be carried, they are tight-lipped. They claim to be "testing" currently.
