KIRO TV dtv 39 in Seattle tonight was testing HDTV of the Mariners Yankees game using the NHK feed to Japan. The test was only for the first 2 innings. I got very excited until I realized it was only a test for 2 innings. It's almost like giving someone one potato chip and saying you can't have any more. Anyone else see this test broadcast?

I didn't catch it (not a baseball fan), but I was encouraged by the message that they were seeking feedback on their HDTV signal, with a request to send comments to hdfeedback@kirotv.com

Sangs, Curse your yankees.

I think the Mariners need better starting pitching to beat the Yanks. Until then we get a great regular season record only to be bounced in the playoffs. But I'll be watching and rooting for the M's to the end.

We have a thread in the Local HDTV Info and Reception. It appears we may finally gain access to the NHK HD feed for home games.

Go Mariners.

Still OT.
Clemens looked really relaxed last night. Bad sign for the rest of the league.

I hope you guys get the entire game there if you use the NHK feed; when the Mariners home games are shown here, live in HDTV, they are almost always interrupted by NHK's midday news progam (opening day was time shifted and breaks were edited out). Most days the news is 15 minutes long, but at least one midday program is 45 minutes long while the Sunday midday news program is only 10 minutes long. There is often a 45 minute highlight show before the evening news but there is no guarantee you will get the lost minutes. NHK usually shows the game live in SDTV without such news interruptions; hopefully one day they will decide to leave the HDTV signal alone and interrupt the SDTV feed OR give the news in bits during breaks in play.

Wezey,

Oh no, I hate the Yankees. Mets and Tigers fan here. Just wanted to point that out to you that's all :D You did get the win - amazingly - last night though. Quite a pitching duel.
