Hi all,

I have hooked up my DST50 in Portland to show off real DTV to a friend who has a Hidef ready set. We watched Leno for a while but reception is spotty with a monopole antenna indoors. We saw CBS for a little while too but it faded.

Can someone please point me to a list of DTV channels that should be available in Portland and also where the broadcast site is located...? We will possibly go out and buy a new antenna so that we can enjoy some more channels - if there is something to see...!

Cheers!
DAve.

Dave,

Try here...
www.easystreet.com/~lwood/koinsite.htm
All of the transmitters are in the west hills where the analog transmitters are.
and...
www.titantv.com
register and you'll get a listing of stations and programming.

All DTV towers are in the West Hills, where most of the analog transmitters are.

These two transmit from the "2-headed" tower:
27 KOPB-DT PBS (doesn't transmit all the time)
46 KGW-DT NBC

These two share a common antenna, the orange-colored one on the tower located very close to the analog KOIN ch. 6 tower:
40 KOIN-DT CBS
43 KATU-DT ABC

Others are:

30 KPTV-DT UPN Tune in if you really like screen logos.
48 KPDX-DT Fox Although they've been having off and on problems lately.

'not surprising your friend didn't know this; other than KOIN, the rest seem to be trying to do their best to keep their digital transmitters a secret.

You have a right to install OTA and dish antennas on property under your control.
