You must have the "off-air guides" function turned off on the DTC-100. This is why you are not seeing the channels remap. I actually prefer not to have the channels remap, so I leave it turned off, at least until stations begin transmitting useful guide as well as time/date info.
If you do turn the "off air guides" feature on, 41 will still not remap to 7, and 35 might not remap to 5 (depending upon what WLWT has recently done with their new setup)
Also, since I have the off air guides turned off, I see the channels (including 29-2 for WXIX) exactly as you do. There's also 10-2 which isn't on your list, which has 9 Weather. You would most likely see better results with WCPO-DT 10(9) if using a VHF antenna for it, although if your at or above 40 readings, you might not need it if you're not getting any dropouts.
I'm north of Middletown, and get readings ranging from 82~94 on all the channels you mentioned with a RS VU210 VHF/UHF combo antenna w/Mast Mount preamp mounted outdoors 35 ft. above ground.
In addition, I also receive WCVN-DT 24 (PBS/KET) out of Northern KY w/70~83 readings. You might want to try for WCVN-DT if you don't have a big hill to the South. I see them on 24-3, 24-4, 24-5, 24-6. With Off air Guides (PSIP) turned on, they map to 54-1, 54-2, 54-3 and 54-4.
Hope this helps,
