Does anyone know the status of HDTV in Columbus, GA? Did all the TV stations apply for an extension by May 1? If so, have any even started work on becoming HDTV or digital ready?

gaz,

www.100000watts.com reports WXTX-FOX is operating DTV on channel 49. And no, I don't get it, I'm in Florida. Columbus, GA was were I went to high school.

It appears that no one in the Columbus area is interested in HDTV or digital. This must be reassuring to broadcasters in the area who will continue to "drag" their feet in going as long as no one really cares>
