Here in Chicago the pre-show is NOT in HD. This is contrary to the Derby..

Any other NBC Affiliate in HD?

Way to go WMAQ :(

The WMAQ geniuses just fixed it. About 26 minutes late.

What a bunch of complete losers.

They switched over to the HD feed here in Atlanta about ten minutes into the broadcast. I don't want to sound ungrateful for the HDTV, but NBC needs to learn how to cover these events. This isn't wrestling. Forget Costas and concentrating on controversy. Forget those long crowd shots. Just show us the horses, their trainers, the jockeys. Where's the background footage? Boy, do I miss ABC right now.

Life's a roller coaster. Wear a seatbelt and don't stand up on the hills...

I nearly cried when NBC got the rights for the Derby over ABC.

Wish I had DirecTV and HDnet (are they showing the full of the Triple Crown live, too?)

I wound up going through the sports desk at WCNC to get the engineer (who was nowhere to be found when the guy I talked to looked for him) to hit the HD switch.

About 10 minutes before the start of the race.

I called WNCN in Raleigh and the engineering staff acted like they had never heard of HDTV. They certainly did not know about the Preakness and did not turn it on even when I explained the arrangement with HD Net and the fact that they did it 2 weeks ago for the Derby.

Do you want a nice Keystone Jack panel behind your TV with HDMI, and Toslink? Check This Thread at AVS
