I have taken my Dish subscription down to the absolute minimum. The only reason I am keeping it is for HGTV for my wife and Comedy Channel (for the Daily show) for me. I am going to keep it there until September and then up it back up enough to get ESPN and Big 10 so that I can watch Nebraska football. But if there is a way to stream games (PPV?) I will probably keep it at the minimum.
Any ideas on alternate ways to get the games?
Basically, you will be out of luck except for OTA ABC games unless you know a subscriber. This is how college football rakes in their money: TV rights.
last time they did negotiations, it got ugly.
Cox was known to not been thrilled that KETV had a subchannel in Omaha people actually watch (aka meTV)
(compared to WOWT and KMTV and KXVO 's .2 channels which are subchannels that have no viewers and no good stuff on)

Luken should buy up the un-used 25.1 digital broadcast station if they can
in Omaha since 3abn has not intention of using it.
better something than nothing on 3abn IMo
Mike and Molly is coming to KPTM 5 days a week this fall (seen promos for it)
Ellen is moving to KETV
Meredith Vieira Show I think is going to WOWT
Walking Dead is airing on 42.2 aka My Network TV
Hot Bench (judge show created by Judge Judy) is likely going to air on KPTM (not sure)
Bob's Burgers will be on KXVO late at night

Edit: MeTV Siouxland or Sioux City does say the right thing.
Edit 2: They got it fixed. Now it says MeTV Omaha.

Last night I noticed that Lincolns ABC sub channel 8.2 changed form Live Well to the new GRIT channel playing movies. I get this channel in OMAHA.
This is so much better than Live Well. I hope Omahas CBS sub channel 3.2 dumps Live Well and picks up something better like Retro TV or Antenna TV, basically anything but Live Well.
Seems like the Sub channel contracts all end this time of year, anyone know of any other changes coming?
Also, look for the new "Escape" network to appear on KLKN 8-3 at some point.

Hope KMTV picks a good channel and also adds guide data to Dish for over the air.
8.2 has guide data
here is info on the two new channels
GM out at KNOP and Gray will be taking the station in a "different direction".
Gray also acquired the domain name nbcneb.com on June 19. Presumably, that will be the new Gray website for KSNB. The current KHASTV.com domain is still operated by a Hoak partner and hosted by KDS Internet in GI.
The sale price of now-silent former NBC affiliate KHAS-TV/5 (Hastings) is $75,000, according to a document filed with the FCC. Legacy Broadcasting, LLC, is buying the station from Hoak Media after Gray TV assigned its right to purchase the station to Legacy. Gray separately purchased KHAS-TV's programming, equipment, and other non-license assets and hired all of its staff, moving NBC programming to its KSNB/4.1 (Superior). Legacy's purchase only includes the license, a transmitter, and transmitting antenna; it will rent tower space from Gray and change KHAS-TV's callsign. Legacy Broadcasting is owned by Sherry Nelson and Sara Jane Ingram of Mississippi and Charles Harker of California. Harker also owns or operates all of the network affiliates in the Greensville, Mississippi, market where Nelson is VP and General Manager
