On the 18th of August, just one month from today, two new diginets, Escape and Grit, will launch on many stations nationwide, including Univision O&O's. Escape will target women, while Grit will target men. Will Las Vegas be in on the initial launch? No official word has come down from any local station as of yet.
KINC-15, Entravision, could move LATV from their 15.2 over to little sister KELV 27.2. This would allow room for KINC to place one of the new networks on the vacated 15.2, while the other new network could occupy a new 15.3 sub position. Of course, Entravision could place both new networks on KELV on new 27.2 and 27.3, but this would mean less than full market covereage. Yet another possibility is that Journal's KTNV could drop their ABC SD feed on 13.2 and replace it with a new network, while also dropping the soon to die Live Well Network from 13.3 for the other new network. But that seems like a very long shot.
KVVU 5.3 could be a dark horse entry. Then there's always a possible KMCC 34.3. Maybe that's why their 34.2 is now scrambled.
After exhausting all of the above possibilities, Las Vegas has plenty of potential for new subs on our many under utilized LPTV stations; like KEEN-17, KHMP-18, KHDF-19, KLVD-23, KTUD-25 (current CP rebirth), KVPX-28, KEGS-30, KNBX-31, KVTE-35 (current CP), KGHD-6/38 (current CP), K41IO-41, and KLSV-50.
Wanting a strong FCC to say no to the Wireless lobby. Keep the tv broadcast band for ota television broadcasters.
