Thnaks for that info. I had checked just slightly earlier and didn't see the addition. What we need to check now is, does KVVU have the corect aspect ratio for Escape programming. That has been an issue on some Escape affiliates.

Another weekend past with plenty of Sinclair's ASN sports pre-empting GET TV on KSNV 3.3. When will Sinclair set my classic movie channel free?

I understand your frustration with sports pre-empting the programming on GET TV but, in all honesty, I really don't see what the big deal is in terms of this particular channel. The movies they show are repeated, ad nauseam, over and over again for the entire month. What they're showing, during the pre-emts, could have been seen three or four times, before, in the past week. Now if these pre-empts were on channels like Antenna TV, This TV, or Cozi, it would be much more frustrating.

Your point is well taken. But I believe that ASN needs to step up and set aside a fulltime channel dedicated to ASN sports, whether it airs programming 24/7 or not. This may not be feasible nationwide, but it certainly is possible in Vegas. KVMY is a bit waster, and could easily suppoprt another sub-channel for ASN.

The subchannels seem like they are operated by third world countries, PQ issues, blackouts, aspect ratio variances, sports preempting, sound/lip sync (esp Cozi TV).

The owners must not be Americans.

Have you noticed that the PSIP's of KHDF 19.2 is now "Lease1", and .2 is "Lease2", and .3 is "Lease3"? I'm holding back on the laughter, as only one of those three sub-channels have been leased in the 3-4 year history.

MiCasa is still in absense on KGNG 47.2. KNBX 31.5 is still shouting "FamCh", but no programming as yet. KEGS 30.6 is still dark, after Coyote FM's simulcast disappeared several weeks ago. Pixelation continues on KVMY 21.1 and 21.2 very frequently.

Yes, my Buck Rogers secret decoder ring is showing 720p for KVCW 33.3. What's interesting is that all three of the KVCW channels are now in 720p. The aspect ration for THIS TV on 33.3 seems to be in 4x3, but could vary depending upon source material perhaps.

Speaking of Sinclair, as we were (KVCW, KVMY, KSNV), I've noticed that the pixelation issue on their 21.1 Antenna TV and 21.2 COZI TV seems to have had a significant improvement over the past week.

Late Tuesday afternoon finds KGNG with further problems. In addition to MiCasa being gone from the roster for several weeks, now PBJ is once again missing. Further, Bounce on 47.3 and Retro on 47.4 were seen strobing the signal, making viewing difficult.

Cornerstore has lost their audio on KLSV 50.3.

Six of the eight sub-channels of KGNG are down Saturday evening. Gone are MiCasa, Bounce, Retro, Movies+, PBJ, and Walk. Surviving the outtage is Home Shopping and QVC. It was a short outtage, except for the continuing missing MiCassa.

I received a note from KMCC staff, and they were not aware they were not transmitting a signal into the Valley from their Henderson tower. It's been six weeks, but it was news to them.

The ownership transfer of KHMP-18 is progressing along at a snails pace. When will this simple transfer complete and have services restored to their sub-channels?

Thanks jh92. I would guess that you are getting a signal from Dolan Springs and not from Henderson. That transmitter only puts a wiggle on my meter, but never enough to power a display.

KLAS was doing maintainance, or having trouble, this morning between 8 and 9. Several times the signal was off. This was after a period of much pixelation on all three channels of theirs.

Sinclair continues to play games with their ASN sports broadcasts pre-empting GET TV on KSNV 3.3. This morning a movie was abrupty dumped at the one and a half hour point to join ASN sports. At the conclusion of the sports, it was back to GET TV for a movie joined in progress for 18 minutes. The another movie began on GET but it too was dumped not to far into the plot to air another 'major league' sports event from minor league network ASN. It's just totally unprofessional scheduling on the part of Sinclair management. The late Jim Rogers of KSNV would have a lot to say about it, I'm sure.

I'd be surprised if the signal is coming from Dolan Springs. There has never been a signal from that tower since KMCC "moved" there.

Spinning the ota dial on Monday morning finds K41IO off air. They returned to the air later.

I find it peculiar that KMCC claims there was nothing wrong with their ota signal serving the Vegas Valley. Yet, today the signal is back with a strong meter reading and great picture and sound quality. This from a no signal at all for well over a month. Seriously, did they forget they even have a Henderson repeater that most Vegas residents receive. It only took several Facebook notices over 6 to 7 weeks to get the attention of KMCC to even check on the issue. If the Dolan Springs tran is not operational, then how is the slightest squiggel on the signal meter expained prior to today's return of service.

Of course KMCC-34 is once again gone Tuesday noonish.

A bad server, or similar situation, made KVCW 33.1 look poorly tonight during the 7:30 pm airing of Two & A Half Men. The episode hiccupped it's way through the half hour. Something similar was repeating part of Married With Children on KGNG 47.5 earlier. Is it contagious. MiCasa was rumored to be back on KGNG 47.2 tonight, but at 9:20 pm, I do not find it.

Saturday morning finds a couple of changes. Cigar Time Ron and I both note that KHMP 18.1 is now off, or at least not pumping programming. The color bars holding the carrier for Family Channel on KNBX 31.5 have disappeared. Maybe programming soon. Nahhhhh! Also, MiCasa is still absent on KGNG 47.2. What should be a great year for local ota televsion, with all the new diginets launching this year, is making a thud sound on local airwaves. Several stations could use some Viagra as their signals just seem to go limp at the most inconvenient times.

The revolving door of Vegas TV continues to spin. Today finds K41IO Enlace among the missing sub-channels. That's in addition to KHMP 18.1, 18.2, 18.3, and 18.4; KMCC 34.1, 34.2, and 34.3; and KGNG 47.2 MiCasa. If that's not bad enough, we have those near worthless channels that are simulcasts, for lease billboards, or color bars waisting good bandwidth. Those sub-channels are KTNV 13.2; KHDF 19.2, 19.3, and 19.4; KEGS 30.1, 30.3, 30.6; KNBX 31.1 and 31.5; and KGNG 47.8 LV2Nite/Walk.

I like the idea, but what is your source material?

I found this that seems to support your post. http://www.tvweek.com/in-depth/2015/...-distribution/

So my next question is, will KTNV add a 13.4 for one of the new additions (assuming that 13.2 will transition to one of the additions), or will they allow Heroes & Icons to migrate to some other Vegas station?

Probably they will just add 13.4 since the have enough room for it. Let see how long it takes them to bring the networks to air.

The program data PSIP for KVMY is broken. The PSIP for Antenna TV on KVMY 21.1 shows "KSNV", while the one for KVMY 21.2 COZI shows the generic "COZI-TV Programming". Six months after the big Sinclair channel switcheroo and they're still having problems getting the correct ID's in proper placement.

KMCC-34 made an appearance this evening for me. With a signal level of about 40% and a totally pixelated mess on screen. Is it possible the transmitter lobe facing the northwest is kaput, while people in other sections of the Valley are getting a useable signal?

Family Channel, on KNBX 31.5, is missing this evening.

I don't think any of these owners are serious about the channels. They seem to be hogging the spectrum and messing with them for corporate interests, not public interests.

Sunday afternoon found Family Channel on KNBX 31.5 playing hide and seek. One minute it was there, the next nowhere to be found. Of course KMCC-34 is playing by their own set of rules. This afternoon their PSIP for 34.1 disappeared but remains for 34.2 and 34.3. Manually entering the 32.1 rf channel is not of any help. Also still missing are the four subs of KHMP-18, and Micasa on KGNG 47.2,

Any bets on when KTNV will launch LAFF and GRIT? My first thought was the Memorial Day weekend, or the first of June.
