The big bosses at Sinclair Broadcast Group made a terrible decision to deprive Las Vegas viewers of the quality programming of GET TV, formerly on KSNV 3.3. In the shake up that occurred the beginning of March, GET was yanked out from under Vegas viewers with no advance warnings, and we were given the very marginal content of Charge a network owned by Sinclair. That diginet is acceptable, at best. If overnight infomercials are your thing, then Charge may be for you. Also in the Sinclair Shakeup was the placement of a joke of a network called TBD
on KVCW 33.3. The content of this network could be boiled down to a 30 minute syndicated series, just like Right This Minute. The Facebook page for TBD
receives very few praises but much more complaints. So bad are the comments section on the TBD
page that Sinclair ordered the removal of negative comments, like they were some Communist censor protecting their network. Not only has Sinclair removed most of the negative comments, but they have stooped to banning certain viewers from posting on their page. That's really a good way to promote your network, Sinclair. It's unlikely that Sinclair could pull their head out of the ass long enough to understand that Vegas viewers don't prefer TBD
or Charge over the quality programming of GET TV. So I don;t expect that Sinclair would sheepishly grin and restore GET TV to Vegas dials anytime soon.
KINC-15 is owned by Entravision, which is a major affiliate partner of GET TV in many other markets. Entravision could bring GET back to Vegas and place it on their possible 15.3 sub-channel or even on their 27.2 sub-channel, even though that would put it on a LPTV station in the latter case.
Vegas deserves, and demands, the restoration of GET TV in this market.
