Life Hacks, KHMP 18.5, has for several days been operating with their audio under colorbars.

Just before 8 am Monday, the PSIP for KHMP 18.8 disappeared. Perhaps someone is working to begin programming of 702.TV Entertainment on that sub-channel.

At 2:50 pm, the pretty pictures have replaced the colorbars on Old School 87.7 KHMP 18.3. There's still bars to be viewed on 18.8 over the audio of Life Hacks. It's like we're all in a Wizard Of Oz jail.

The colorbars returned along with a PSIP on KHMP 18.8 Monday evening, but still no programming.

Now for the daily saga of KHMP-18. Life Hacks on 18.5 has regained appropriate video to accompany the audio. The new 702.TV service on 18.8 takes another step towards launch as a camera is now showing a shot under a desk. Catchy music accompanies, but at a very low level.

Around noon time, what appeared to be regular programming began on 18.8's 702.TV sub-channel. During the setup process this morning it appeared a PC monitor was placed in position, and then a camera was positioned in front of that monitor. The monitor provides the feed from an unknown location. This results in loss of graphics on the sides and probably top and bottom as well. Video resolution is about equal to VHS EP mode, or poor. Audio is tin can quality with lo fidelity, and very low levels. I have a pc audio/video output cable to connects to 3-pin RCA inputs that would seem to have provided a much better setup, if not cleaner video. Programming seems to be an odd mix of all sorts of things from short infomercials for local businesses to what looks like short movies. It's not clear from what I've viewed who is behind this venture.

The channel uses a well designed graphic animation displaying "702.TV", but I've not spotted a logo bug within programming as yet.

History of Television, KNBX 31.4, remains in the dark. One of our Valley viewers got a message from MAKO, owner of KNBX, that HOT suffered a computer virus over the past week and is awaiting replacement equipment.

One of my monitors that does not normally see KHDF 19.2, .3, and .4, now sees them! Has KHDF corrected their error of the past several years? Will all area tv's be able to find all of the subs of KHDF? What about K41IO? Still not seeing 41.2 and 41.3 on many tv's.

702.TV seems to be asleep this morning on KHMP 18.8. HOT, KNBX 31.4, is still in slumber mode.

Thursday evening, CigarTimeRon spotted that KNBX 31.2 and 31.5 went missing. This morning the PSIP's for those two subs are gone. What gives MAKO?

By 5 pm Friday afternoon, KNBX had restored 2 of their 3 problem sub-channels. Both NewsMax on 31.2 and The Walk on 31.5 were back on-air, while HOT on 31.4 remains silent.

No power on the mountain? At about 3.18 pm today KHMP-18 and KPVT-2 both lost signal, and it looks like a power issue at the transmitter.

After all the subs of KPVT-2 and KHMP-18 lost signal Saturday afternoon, some of them returned to the air by Saturday evening. Sunday morning finds several of those same subs suffering from serious illness, with Window error messages, etc.

As a side note to KPVT Moxie 2.5, it should be noted that several movies aired on that sub-channel contain the "Moxie" logo bug, but also air the "Oldie Goldie" bumpers going into commercial breaks. Just another day of tv viewing in the desert.
