We need more professional tv engineers. One or two in Las Vegas can't handle it all. We need the WKRP big guy.....or maybe just Jennifer.

Since my original post yesterday, several other stations entered the problem zone. KLSV-50 went into hiding taking their four shopping subs. Asain Cultural TV, KEGS 30.6, joined the missing club. Oldie Goldie, KPVT 2.6, went into and finally auto corrected being in green and lavender scheme.

Are there any Professional TV engineers in Vegas? I thought all Vegas has was Topless show girls and people that want to be in TV saying, they own a TV station and lease channels. The real Engineers are all in Atlanta, so I hear.

Actually, a few of the Vegas enginners double as topless dancers, How they get those plastic pocket protectors filled with various screwdrivers to stay attached, I have no idea.

Besides the topless joints that cater to engineer's, I think they're spending too much time at the recreational pot clinics. That would explain the weird colors on moxoldie.

My batting average for correct launch times of diginets have sunk into the basement lately, it would seem. But out on a limb, it's possible that GET TV could reappear in Las Vegas via KNBX 31.2 on this Saturday the 15th of July. When, remains unclear, as the PSIP clock for KNBX is twelve hours beind actual West Coast time. My guess would be at midnight, but whether that's actual time or KNBX time is a mystery. It's not even certain that GET TV will show up on KNBX.

Charge, KSNV 3.3, the devil of a station that replaced GET TV in Vegas, has added a couple of weekday morning retro programs to their schedule. Gladiators UK, American Gladiators, and America's Dumbest Criminals joins LAPD Life On The Beat.

THIS schedule

Note to those, like me, who schedule recordings of classic (and not-so-classic) movies: THIS TV (33.4) is projecting an incorrect PSIP, but Zap2it (http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tvlisti....do?aid=zap2it) has correct times of broadcasts on 33.4

KPVT-2 continues to have issues with Biz TV on their 2.2 sub-channel and also on the insert of the program guides on 2.1 and 18.2. Meanwhile KHMP 18.6 Lifehacks is still somewhere under a PC message. Speaking of the on-air program guide, sub-channel 18.8, recently 702.TV, is now labeled as Campensia (if I copied correctly). So what does that mean for the future of 702.TV? And what is Campensina?

Are we being yanked around by the GET TV PSIP, or will that diginet suddenly appear on KNBX 31.2?

No clue as to Campensina. I haven't seen Rules of Engagement or How I Met Your Mother on 47.4 showing lately after retro programming. Audio still low on 47.4 retro. That new server for Hot 31.4 must be on a snail coming from TX.

Perhaps KHMP 18.8 Campensina will be a radio simulcast of KYLI-FM 96.7 Las Vegas. That station is a member of a small Hispanic radio network called Campensina.

Both air Kids Click programming block. Until today I hadn't noriced them being a simulcast, but more of a shuffle of the times the same titles are aired.

Stop the presses!

Bulletin!

The 34's are back!

KMCC-34 has returned to the Vegas airwaves after nearly a months absence. All three of the streams of Action and Heartland are there, but probably for a limited engagement. Watch 'em while you can.

702.TV also returned, but to KHMP 18.8 this afternoon. After an infomercial the signal seems to have again departed for places unknown. It was back again for prime time viewing. CigarTimeRon was getting an early start to late night viewing around 11 pm when he spotted 18.8 showing a feed of the Campensia radio feed.

Analog KGNG 47 is off air this morning, possibly because of the localized storms. Some of the previous problems have been corrected with the exception of LifeHacks on KHMP 18.5.

Sometime between 5 pm and 8 pm Wednesday, GET TV resurfaced for hungry Vegas viewers. The Sony diginet is now airing on LPTV station KNBX 31.2. At this moment, audio seemed to be absent. Hopefully that will unload from the long trip back to the Vegas Valley.

Twelve hours later, Thursday morning, there is still no audio on GET TV. Better get Mako. Audio arrived around 9 am.

Not all that unexpected, but KMCC-34 vanished Thursday evening. At some point it would be nice to have reliable service from that station.

History Of Television, the public domain network airing on KNBX 31.4, has promised us a new server to cure some of the ills they have had in the recent past. That server is still in the works, but is slow in making a journey to Vegas.

Is Campesina Television, KHMP 18.8, just testing their new access to Vegas, or are they really a broadcast player in the Valley?

Here's a note for MAKO engineers. Bring the audio levels up on KNBX-31 to a listenable level, comparable to the major stations in Vegas. Setting a decent level on any KNBX sub-channel means cranking the audio to near max, which means having to crank er down before changing channels to KSNV-3 or KLAS-8. Also check your PSIP's on a regular basis to ensure it displays the proper time and date. Then add program data for your sub-channels (a must for GET TV). Much the same message would be good for KPVT-2 and KHMP-18.

This Saturday starts with the return of KMCC-34. LifeHacks on KHMP 18.5 is still missing, as is analog KGNG-47.
