Both analog KGNG-47 and all of the subs of 3ABN on K43FO remain silent. Recently, un-noticed by me until today, K41IO reinstated their PSIP for 41.3 and again is attempting to broadcast AvivaVision. The problem is that it is hampered by a bad signal, possibly the incoming signal of AvivaVision itself. Both 41-2 and 41.3 don't appear on many tv's in the Valley because of inferior PSIP writing. If the viewers don't know the signal is there, how are those subs supposed to generate viewers?

GET TV seems to have pumped up the volume a little for their diginet on KNBX 31.4. Perhaps ATSC 3.0 will have an automatic volume level control built-in. In the old days in Master Control, we would lay down at the beginning of a new recording a few seconds of colorbars and a thousand cycle tone. This allowed the techs airing the tape to pre-select the correct volume.

No ATSC 3.0 will have a volume unleveler, if you pay more for the AD, it will be even louder, esp on your cell phone. I'm sure the Glenn Learner and "see your doctor" if your erection lasts more than 5 days commercials will be the loudest.

19.3 is now simulcasting KHDF 19.1 and 19.2. Is this a runup to the launch of something new on 19.3? Could be.

The work week starts out with Heartland missing from KMCC 34.2 and 34.3. Action continues to be seen on KMCC 34.1. All of the subs of K43FO-43 are still AWOL.

Heartland returned for primetime Monday evening on both 34.2 and 34.3.

Where are the Sinclair engineers. Antenna TV (KHSV 21.4) is operating in split screen, with the top at the bottom and the bottom at the top. At least it isn't the big at the small and the small at the big.

Johnny's on right now, wish Carol Wayne was on and the picture would be skewed. Then I could pretend im watching late night scrambled naughty shows on UHF in the late 70's. If you turn the uhf fine tuning just right, you might just get a glimpse or two. o O

About 15 hours into the sliced and diced picture on Antenna TV. No remedy seen on the road ahead.

In 1987 I was hooked to cable in Smyrna, GA. They carried the Playboy Channel, but had a funky encryption system that failed to do much. There was lots of free peeks throughout the evening. I envisioned scores of young teen boys taking a peek with giggles aplenty. I contacted the cable company and they brought me a filter (not that I really wanted one). It resulted in filtering out the Playboy Channel along with causing interference on The Nashville Network.

What's happening to 41.3? This is a slide the picture sideways every few seconds routine.

Someone at KHSV/KSNV/KVCW performed the delicate operation on Antenna TV this morning around 7:15 am. All is well again, although Decades )21.2) briefly suffered the same symptoms.

KNBX 31.4, HOT TV, was briefly displaying a 'Waiting for the network input" message this afternoon. Might that signal the installation of their new server?
