I have uhf and vhf antennas each with its separate cables and would like to have them connect to one device before plugging that into a the tv monitor jack.
what device would i have to get . suggestions and recommendations welcomed.

You need a UHF/VHF signal joiner. Sold at RadioShack, Solid Signal, Antennas Direct. Works better than a reverse splitter because it prevents interference.
