It's a Winegard GS 2200 shaped like nothing I've ever seen- like an airplane!. The local TV guy has one that guarantees it's the one for this area. He wants $89.00 and just found i can by it for less than half that shipped.

It has good reviews so I am wondering if anyone has one.smile.gif

It may be a good antenna for suburban areas with a strong signal, but not necessarily the best choice.

The Wingard Sensar has been around for a long time and is most commonly seen on RVs and travel trailers.

It's generally a fair VHF antenna and a very lousy UHF antenna.

I think they now have an add-on element to help improve the UHF. Wingman i think.

I sure hope you're wrong on this- I just ordered it last night and the Wing. I based it on these reviews and the guy in Atlanta sounded a lot like me. Here are some of the reviews.

I hope this antenna will work. It is good for what it is, but maybe not the best choice. I still think there is some other technical problem of some sort here. But I agree you may have very strong signals that could be overloading the tuner or causing multipath or reflection problems. Extreme cases like this prevent the tuner from decoding a signal. This was a problem that was experienced in Chatanooga, Tn. due to extreme multipath caused by the hilly terrain. The solution was to place the antenna inside a garbage can. Trip in Va. posted about this a year or so ago in the Chatanooga thread. But hopefully your new antenna will work.
