Hello,

I live in Tualatin, near the Tualatin Country Club, and was looking for some recommendations on antenna that any local members have had success with.

Most of the towers are just under 10 miles away, just North of me.

However, if I'm reading my results from TV Fool correctly, I believe one of the stations I want is broadcast to the West, about 10 miles away also.  If anyone has an idea of what those channels are, I'd appreciate it... Without knowing what they are, I can't say how important (or not) those are to me....

Thanks!

I'm not totally sure now.  :)  The only one I thought I would've wanted might be a retransmitter....   anyone know for sure?

18 - K18EL-D (Digital)

-- A google search of this comes up with this being channel 49-1, KPDX-DT... maybe a retransmitter?

-- IF this is the same as 30, which is is KPDX, according to TV Food.... then I don't need this channel...

24 - KDLN-LP (Digital)

-- This is apparently a local channel.  Not so important, but would be nice to have.  You never know what you might come across on these local channels...  Kinda entertaining sometimes.

32 - KOPB-TV-1 (Digital)

-- Apparently this is the same as OPB Radio.  Not so important since I can use my actual radio.... or stream it...

K18EL-D repeats KPDX. KOPB-1 repeats KOPB in its entirety. KDLN-LP or KPWC-LD both repeat KWVT-LD. If you receive those stations from their main transmitters north of you, they are not required.

Sounds like I just need a directional antenna facing north then.  :)

I live in an townhouse, on a street going North-South, putting a bunch of my neighbors to my north (both in the same building and adjacent buildings).  I was thinking of putting an antenna in the attic above my garage, and just feeding that to the coax cable that goes into my house and up to the distribution block upstairs.  I really only use 2 TVs, my Samsung in the living room, and an older tube tv with digital tuner box.

I was thinking of maybe an RCA ANT751, or a Winegard HD7694P.  Any thoughts?  I saw a Mohu leaf for cheap one time, but didn't go for it, unfortunately.  I've heard good things about that, but it's omnidirectional, so maybe it wouldn't have been so great for me?

Below is my TV Fool analysis.

Thanks!

Either the RCA or the Winegard would be fine as would a ClearStream 2V.

I wouldn't waste money on the Leaf as it's pretty much blind as Mr Magoo on VHF.
